1950’s Vintage Atomic Sputnik Coat Hook Hat Rack

Often referred to as ‘Atomic’ or ‘Sputnik’ due to their shape, these French wooden and metal racks are a great example of how the bright future vision of the post war era fed into everyday life. They are a true design classic and are often imitated, however original examples like this are getting pretty scarce.  All the original wooden balls are present and in the original paint.  A classic and useable example of mid century design at its finest.
